Casa

Casa 1 has spent the week ordering animals into different categories. – vertebrates/ invertebrates; pets/ wild animals; sort by classification and sort by habitat. We had a lot of fun sorting and resorting our animal collection into the different groups.

Casa 2 children matched and made patterns with different shapes. They learned about different animal groups and their characteristics.

Pre-Casa

Pre-casa students learned about the 5 senses. We used paper plates, magnifiers, and books to learn about visual inputs.  They used jello powder to learn about the olfactory senses.  They visited the music room to learn about the auditory senses. They played with lots of sensory bins for tactile experiences.  Children built on knowledge from different materials and concepts through these activities.  The children also had a chance to practice their names with glue and jello powder.  They loved feeling the different sensory materials made of rice, water, and shaving cream.
