Simple Science STEAM week

We explored slopes and angles with ramps and zip lines. We learned how to make our toy cars, figurines and marbles go fast, slow or suspend. We also learned that gravity makes everything fall if there is nothing holding it up. Then we conducted an experiment with oil and water and learned that the two will never mix. The droplets of coloured water always sank to the bottom and mixed together but the oil always stayed on top and would not absorb any of the colour. We learned that oil is less dense than water.

Pre-Casa

Children were invited to learn about the ocean. They were introduced to the theme with puzzles, crafts, vocabulary, stories, and songs. Children painted, glued, and pretended to move around the ocean floor this week. They performed a variety of yoga poses – jellyfish, crab, octopus, and dolphin to develop their concentration and gross motor skills.
