Casa
Children had fun learning about the 5 senses. We guessed what was inside a mystery bag using the sense of touch, guessed at sounds of animals, and instruments. We did an experiment to see how we could find out if it was salt or sugar in the bowls. We also enjoyed waffles on International Waffle Day!
Casa 2 children learned about the different systems in the human body this week with books, songs, crafts, and activities. Children enjoyed learning the facts about the human body and how the different systems work together to function.
Pre-Casa
The theme for this week was weather and the weather was perfect for children to experience a range of sunny, windy, rainy, and cloudy weather. During indoor play time, we made weather dice to develop our gross motor skills. Children especially enjoyed colouring the specially marked paper that when painted, revealed a picture of the sun, raindrop, cloud, and rainbow underneath. Children also made a weather poster using glue and studied the shapes of various cloud formations.
