Chinese New Year is around the corner and children in Casa talked about this special festival and how it is celebrated. Children learned the traditions of Chinese New Year through songs and stories. Children also prepared many festive decorations to bring in the year of the tiger in just a few days. On the side, children in Casa experimented with different materials – wax, aluminum foil, water paint, plastic wrap, and cotton fabric – to test which is the best waterproof material for boots.
Pre-Casa
Children in precasa did many art activities around Chinese New Year. They also enjoyed Chinese New Year songs and had an opportunity to sing along the songs. Children learned about the cultures and festive celebrations around this holiday.
