Casa
This was, children in Casa B talked about Maple Syrup. We know maple syrup is produced in Canada and that only maple sugar trees can make the syrup. We had pancake day with maple syrup. We made a book on how to make maple syrup showing 5 steps on making it – first, find a maple tree, tap the tree with a drill and collect the sap. Then, boil the sap to evaporate the water and left with the brown maple syrup.
Pre-Casa
The theme is fruits and vegetables this week. Children coloured corn with yellow paint and q-tips. Children learned the names of vegetables and fruits by washing them. They also played with food toys during free play time. Children had a pleasant experience cutting vegetables & fruits with wooden knives.
