December 19 – 23

Casa

Casa children talked about different holiday celebrations around the world.  Hanukkah is a Jewish festival that lasts 8 days.  Kwanzaa is observed by African-Americans starting December 26. We celebrate Christmas.

Before the holiday, Casa children learned geometric shapes and 3D solids.  We covered squares, cubes, spheres, cones, cylinders, ovals, and ellipsoids.

Precasa

This last week before Christmas was full of joy and Christmas elements! Children learned and made a  Christmas hat with brushes and pompoms. They also enjoyed using playdough to make snowflakes, bells, and cookies, We colored a gingerbread man with crayons and had so much fun playing musical instruments and singing Christmas songs! Our children have been so blessed to receive many blessings from each other and we hope everyone enjoys a wonderful Christmas holiday!
