April 4 – 8

 Casa

April is National Oral Hygiene month. We have been learning how to keep our teeth happy and healthy. We know that a dentist is a special doctor who can take care and fix our teeth. We learned how to properly brush and floss our teeth and then practiced on a model we made.

Casa 2 children learned about oral health and sorted food that are good and bad for our teeth. Children also did germination activity, planted seeds in their individual pots, and learned what a plant needs in order to grow.

Pre-Casa

This week, pre-casa were excited to learn about gardening. We started by planting flowers on the wall which inspired children to develop their gross motor and fine motor skills. Children studied the alphabet by pulling carrots out from a field made of paper towel rolls. We then planted flowers for real using soil and seeds. They were very serious and engaged in the activity. To finish off the week, a dramatic gardening corner was created with flowers, shovels, buckets, and more to practice their gardening skills.
